Hi, My name is Khadija Iyer. This is my 13th year of teaching Eighth grade science at Kennedy Middle School. I love to read about new discoveries in every branch of science. I am looking forward to the Summer Institute workshop and incorporating what I learn in my classroom. I have been married for 22 years and have a daughter who will be Senior at UCSD this fall. My husband and I love to travel and go hiking on weekends. Our most recent trip was a marathon drive through three national parks and Mono Lake during the Memorial Day weekend. The picture above with my husband was taken in Los Cabos earlier this year.
Nice to hear about your family Khadija. It will be great to have the Cupertino crew up at the KCI. Julie and Donna have organized a good program. See you there!
Hello there teachers in the 2007 Cupertino Summer Institute! We are excited that you are able to participate in our program and anxious to work together to integrate technology into your curricula. You will learn to use many tools during the institute, some of which we hope you will integrate into your teaching . For starters, we would like you to use Blogger as a way to introduce ourselves to each other before the institute starts. Please add a post of your own to this blog (click on "New Post" in the upper right) telling a bit about yourself, and be sure to add a picture. As more introductions are posted, please read a few and then add a comment to another person's introduction with whom you might share an interest. I'm sure that this will make it even more fun to meet in person on June 18th at the Krause Center for Innovation.

Which 3 national parks? That was truly a marathon trip.
Khadija,
It's good to see you & Padma in the picture. It was 1990 when we visited you in Burbank.
